We're a team of foodies with 7+ years of pizza-making experience. We started at local fairs and outdoor events before moving on to festivals, private parties and most recently - our beloved pop-ups. 

We want to share our passion for amazing pizzas and give you a reason to get together with your loved ones, because, after all, sharing is caring.

WHERE WE STARTED

Where We Started

Back in 2015, Jonnie and Karim decided to convert a catering trailer into a portable, wood-fired pizza kitchen they could take to local events. By 2019, they had 4 pizza units catering at some of the UK’s biggest music festivals. 

Over the years, the business became known for its "wooden shack look" and that’s how the Wood Fired Pizza Shack with its original blue, wooden print was born. 

Our pizzas were a hit amongst many hungry festival-goers, but being a passionate bunch, we were constantly looking for ways to improve. And so, we ended up creating our very own, secret recipe, thin-crust bases that are widely loved to this day.

So, who are we? A team of foodies who  want to share our passion for amazing pizzas and give you a reason to get together with your loved ones. After all, sharing is caring.

In 2020, during the pandemic, we set up the takeaway and collection service from Jonnie's driveway in Three Gates.

Then a year later, we approached a few local pubs to see if they would be interested in having our shack each week, and they said yes!

We fell in love with catering for our local community, you fell in love with our food, and together we created the pizza night as you know it.

Where We Are Now

As we are always looking for new ways to grow, in April 2022, we’ve decided to refresh our image and philosophy.

We wanted to make sure that our best qualities shine through, showing you our quirky and fun side, while still maintaining our quality food and service.


We are so proud to introduce you this fresh look, with same delicious pizzas.
 

We’re now working harder than ever to source our ingredients locally, work with local charities, seek out more sustainable ways to operate, and even offer new and exciting flavours along with our traditional menu. 
We are also doing our best to give our staff decent progression routes because we know our team are special and always go out their way to keep everyone happy.

Where We're Going

We're so excited about our plans! 

Over the next few years, we'll be working super hard on growing in local pop ups (shack number two coming very soon), expanding through franchising, and eventually, opening up our first restaurant!

Our employees are like family to us, and we always ensure to put them ahead of the business by offering fair pay and exciting growth opportunities. We'll always go the extra mile (with a smile on our faces) because we know positivity breeds positivity. No request is too much and we'll always go out of our way to make your wood fired experience perfect - just read our reviews and find out for yourself.

To become the best that you can be, you need to give it your all, so we always give the shack 100% of our love and attention in hopes to inspire our customers and our team. After all, you can only lead by example.

BE INCLUSIVE

We always make sure our menu includes options for those plant-based, vegetarian, gluten-free, and even fussy eaters. We appreciate there are hundreds of dietary choices and needs out there, so if something you want isn't on the menu (or you're just not particularly fond of an ingredient) - let us know and we'll always try to be accommodating if we can.

BE TRANSPARENT

Nobody likes small print, so our food doesn't come with any secret nasties and we'll always be honest about where our ingredients come from. We'll also never charge you any hidden fees, so you know exactly how much you're paying at all times.

BE SUSTAINABLE

As we grow as a business, we know we will have a larger carbon footprint. To help offset this, we're always looking at ways of being more sustainable. We source as much of our produce as possible from local suppliers & farms (especially our wood and cheese), and we use greaseproof paper so that you can recycle your pizza box. But there's still so much more we can do so watch this space.

BE RESPONSIBLE

We are proud to offer great service, but humble enough to take on feedback from our customers and learn from it. We do not shift blame or point fingers, and we do everything possible to make it right.
